Organizations that hire more than 2-3 employees per month should definitely look at applicant tracking systems as an option. Companies that do a lot of lateral hiring should subscribe to candidate databases and the ones that hire in bulk can do great with job boards and online testing tools to pre-qualify candidates.

While discussing about technology investment and its returns, Mr. Shimpi shares a simple way to measure return on investment in technology. “Calculating ROI then becomes a simple matter of adding [recruiter hours saved x hourly cost of recruiter] to [employee billing rate x reduction in time to hire] and subtracting the cost of software from it.”
